There are several measures you can take reduce the risk of your wheel stops being trip hazards. Ensure the area is well lit so that the area is visible to all drivers. Only install wheel stops into defined parking spaces or bays in the area where all drivers will see them.
Rubber wheel stops are ideal for almost any indoor or outdoor parking project. Rubber is much more durable than any other material and can contour to uneven surfaces for easy installation.
Generally wheel stops will be installed approximately 900mm back from the top of a parking space. However, it is best to carry out your own risk assessment of the area to ensure this is sufficient for your project.
The markings on our Park It Wheel Stops and XPT rubber wheel stops are moulded into the kerbs. Avoid cheap alternatives that have markings stuck on with adhesive.

Modular rubber speed bumps are much easier to install than concrete or tarmac. Modular sections can be bolted down easily while damaged or worn sections are easily replaced. They are much more cost-effective and result in faster project finishes.
To install speed bumps a thorough risk assessment of the area should be carried out. Once the right product is selected clean the area and insert the speed bumps. Pre-drill the holes for each section and insert them as necessary. Once back in place tighten them into position. Repeat the steps until the speed bump is complete.
Drivers should not change lanes or swerve in order to avoid the speed bumps. The spaces at the centre or sides of the bumps are for drainage purposes.
On-highway flexible bollards – fully rated for use on highways, suitable for motorways and dual-carriagways.
Off-highway – not-suited for motorway use. Suitable for public roads, car parks and private premises
Flexible bollards are generally made from plastic, rubber or steel. Plastic bollards usually include a base and spring system to allow the bollard to bend on impact. Rubber bollards come in a one-piece design and will bend on impact to absorb damage. Steel flexible bollards are best suited to industrial environments where they can protect against forkflifts and other work vehicles.
Install flexible bollards in areas where delineation is required. Flexible bollards can be used to highlight corners, juncitons, traffic lanes and more.
Most flexible bollards will include reflective markings to boost visibility. Our Flexbrite bollard range includes RA2 Oralite® reflective to boost visibility. The Impact Recovery Systems bollards also include 3M reflective sheeting, ideal for day and night delineation on European and worldwide highways.
